Rodrigo González

Rodrigo González, considered one of the best sommeliers in Spain, has led the global wine programme for Dani García's restaurant group until recently.

Born in Tenerife, the sommelier began his professional career on the island at MB Abama, before joining Dani García's project in Marbella in 2017 when the restaurant received three Michelin stars. Following the closure of the three-star restaurant, he faced the challenge of extrapolating that philosophy to the entire group, taking over management of the Dani García Group's drinks programme and contributing to the openings of restaurants such as Leña Marbella, Bibo London, Lobito Qatar, Casa Dani New York and Leña Madrid, as well as the gastronomic concepts Kemuri Marbella and Smoked Room Madrid.

González is currently head sommelier at Kensei in Tenerife and also oversees the extensive beverage selection at Venture Collections, the Venture Group's leading gastronomic sector.
